The Mahim Fair

The 10-day Mahim Fair or Mela as it is popularly called is held in honor of Pir Makhdoom Shah Mahimi, a Sufi saint of the 14th century. The fair, which is held during the first week of December is visited by people from across the country who offer sandal wood (or its paste) along with a ‘chadar’ (a sheet of flowers). The fair is also known for its games and adventure sports like the ‘Maut ka Kua’ (Well of Death).
